Rochford reservoir is situated on the Southend road near Rochford train station. It is about 5 acres in size; it has an outstanding stock of common and mirror carp up to mid 20’s, nice size roach and perch, eels, tench, and lots of ornamental carp. The site will now be known as Marks Hall Fisheries – Rochford Reservoir and will not just have responsibility for issuing permits to fish, but also a number of other exciting initiatives. Anglers who wish to use the reservoir now require a day ticket or full membership to fish. Day tickets can be obtained from the Horse and Groom Public House, Bradley Way Rochford; Pete’s Tackle at 103 Rochford Road Southend-on-Sea, or from the bailiff on the bank.
