The River Chelmer

Stretch of the River Chelmer acquired from Mid Essex Angling Association. Parking is on the right-hand side of the road only. Mill Lane is a dead-end at the river, coming from Broomfield. Fishing permitted for a mile above and below the Mill Pool on the Eastern bank, with the exception of the wierpool which can be fished from both banks. Fish in this stretch are; carp, chub to 6lb, dace to 1lb, Perch to 3½lb, Roach to 2lb 4oz, Trout to 2lb, Pike to 17½lb, Eels to 3lb, Bream to 7lbs and Tench to 4lbs.
