Fan Lodge

Fan Lodge holds a large head of carp ranging from around 4lbs to high 20,s and was stocked with 1200 6 to 8inch carp in July 2009. It also hold a large head of Tench & Bream, the Tench go to around 6lbs and the Bream up to 11lbs. There is also plenty of Roach, Skimmers, Perch & Hybrids. The water is located off Bickershaw Lane (B5237), travelling from Platt Bridge, the lodge is accessed on the right down a track beside the bungalow after Bridgemount Car Sales just before the rise of the old railway bridge. Fan Lodge is two and a half acres in size and ranges from 6 feet and two feet in depth with over 40 pegs. Night fishing is allowed on Fan Lodge. But there is a limit on the number allowed and have to be applied for. As this water is also a match water night anglers will not be able to fish the pegs allocated for a match the night before. Also some matches will take all the water and night anglers will not be able to fish any of the pegs the night before. It will be beneficial if all anglers look at the notice board or contact the match Secretary before going.
