Alvingham Fishing Lakes

Welcome to Alvingham Fishing Lakes, situated near to Louth on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

We purchased the lakes in early 2015 and have now implemented changes and improvements to the fishery for the enjoyment of anglers and for the wellbeing of the fish.

Fishing in the Grass Lake

This is our specimen lake. It is stocked with Mirror carp, common carp, grass carp and koi carp up to low 20 lb’s. There also Roach, Rudd and good sized tench. We also have eels and golden tench . The largest grass carp is called Nelson due to it only having one eye. This is a great fish, it is very smart, but a challenge to catch. No keep nets are allowed on this lake.

Fishing in the Monkey Lake

This lake has 23 pegs. It’s a great lake for anglers that like to be catching all the time. It is stocked to the “brim” with Roach, Rudd, tench and carp and the odd eel and gold fish. The biggest carp in here are about 18 lb
