Wagtail Fishery offers a most relaxing and peaceful holiday, set in the wonderful Lincolnshire countryside.

It is an idyllic spot, whether you intend to fish for the week or just relax. We are situated just 7 miles north of Grantham, 12 miles south of Newark and within easy access, just 2 miles from the A1.

We are a mixed coarse fishery open mid March – October. All three lakes have mown grass areas surrounding them and paved slab fishing pegs on Rush and Barked swims on Cat & Carp Lake. Residents may, day or night, fish on any of our lakes. Our main speciality is our catfish, from kittens of 3lb to cats up to 50lb, are you ready for back breaking action! Rush lake is our mixed coarse lake with roach, tench, crucians, skimmers and more. We have a seperate Cat lake with cats up to 50lb and carp up to 20lb. In our Carp lake we have mirror, common, ghost and grass carp up to 25lb and catfish to 50lb.

Setting
Well over thirteen acres have been landscaped as naturally as possible and lakeside banks boast a wealth of native water plants, wild flowers and shrubs to create an attractive setting for fishing and a benefit to wild-life.All three lakes have surrounding banks offering shelter, privacy and a more pleasing natural setting.

Luxury
Stay in one of our four luxurious country style holiday lodges which all have their own gardens and patios. The lodges are fully heated and are double glazed.The living areas have been well furnished for your comfort with fitted kitchens, fridge/freezers, microwaves, cookers, washing machines, ironing facilities and colour TV and DVD.

Excellence
All lodges have outside heated drying cupboards for fishing equipment etc. With plenty of space outside each lodge for parking your vehicle, you are ensured complete privacy as well as excellent access.

Duvets, linens and towels are all provided and there is all the crockery and cooking utensils that you will need.
