Beeches Lake
4 Acre lake with 37 pegs. Our totally unspoilt match lake with over 16 metres between pegs.

A former trout lake, Beeches is not your average commercial fishery water. Matured with reed beds and trees, every peg is different and it features two small arms plus a main ‘bowl’ of water. Beeches is completely the opposite of a ‘hole in the ground’ and is situated in the top right-hand corner of the site. Depths vary between 4ft and 6ft. There are 37 pegs on the lake.

Species
Common and mirror carp make up the mainstay of the stock in Beeches. they average 2-5lb but run into double figures. There are also plenty of F1s and a good stock of silverfish such as skimmer bream, roach, rudd, ide and chub.

Bennys Lake
If it’s bites you’re after then you certainly get plenty on Bennys Lake, our most recently stocked water. Bennys was formerly a specimen lake and then a trout lake but in 2014 we opened it up as our new mega match venue. It has primarily been stocked with a huge number of F1 carp which average 4-8oz and run to over 2lb. This water can be pleasure fished too and it’s perfect for beginners and children. Bennys has 60 pegs and depths between 4ft and 8ft can be found just a few metres from the bank, with around 10 – 12ft of water in the middle.

Species
Mainly F1 carp but there is a smattering of proper carp between 3lb and into double figures, which provide a surprise or two! There are ide, chub and perch in this lake.

Bonsai Lake
You’ll pass Bonsai as you enter the fishery, this is our showcase water and our most popular for competition angling. There are 85 well-maintained pegs across three acres, 90% of which have an island feature to fish to at a distance between 13m and 30m away, so every single peg is different. Bonsai is between 3ft and 5ft deep.

Species
Bonsai is stocked with carp to 20lb but averaging 2-5lb, lots of F1s plus a whole host of other fish, including barbel, tench, ide, roach, perch, chub and skimmer bream.

Laurels Lake
Just like Willows, the Laurels is an interesting lake full of arms and points sticking out into the lake.
There are 69 numbered pegs although a couple of these at the top end of the lake are now disused to create more space. Laurels is a very consistent all-around lake which produces all year round, even when frozen over. This is one of our deeper lakes where you’ll find 5-7ft of water on the long pole line.

Species
F1s and carp are the mainstay in Laurels. The F1s go well over 3lb and the carp to mid-double figures, again like Willows there are some fantastic ghost carp here. A speciality of Laurels is the large perch it contains, we have weighed a few fish in in matches now over the 4lb mark and these fish tend to get caught in the colder months when the water is clearer.

Loco Lake
This is one of our larger lakes, an expanse of open water which requires a good 50 – 60 yard chuck to reach the centre. It’s deep too with around 6ft of water 6m out, and around 8-10ft of water on the long pole line. Home to the largest fish on the complex, it offers some spectacular sport, especially for day ticket anglers. The only real feature in the lake is the small sunken island in the middle, which is identified by the wooden posts sticking out of the water.

Species
There are lots of 20lb-plus carp in Loco, the biggest known was last caught at 28lb. We have a couple of really stunning ghost carp around the 24lb mark. Most of the carp here average 7lb and there are plenty in double figures too, so tackle up accordingly. Loco has a big head of F1 carp too to over 4lb and lots of bream. You’ll also find ide, roach, rudd and perch. The lake has a stock of pike too and we allow predator fishing in the winter months on request, when the lake doesn’t have a match on. In 2014 a 28lb pike came out, plus another of 26lb in the space of a few days to one of our residents Jim Winter.

Strip Lake
Our smallest water, the 1 acre Strip pond has 24 permanent pegs. Fishing is from both sides of this rectangular pond and it’s the perfect place for small club matches. You’ll find consistent sport on this lake all year round with parking close by at either end of the lake. Strip is around 4ft deep all the way around.

Species
Strip has plenty of common and mirror carp which average 3 – 8lb, plus a big head of F1s from 1lb 8oz to 2lb. You’ll find lots of barbel in the corner pegs and edges too, plus tench, big perch, skimmers, ide, chub and roach.

Willows Lake
Willows is a lovely 53-peg reed-fringed lake on the left-hand-side of the complex. There are car parks at both ends of the lake and down the left roadside. It is around 3ft 6ins to 5ft deep in most places and is an open water lake, although there are some corners with dense vegetation.

Species
There are some very large ghost and mirror carp over 20lb in Willows lake which occasionally gets caught in the edges or close in. However the main targets are F1 carp averaging 1lb 8oz. The lake has plenty of barbel, tench and assorted silverfish too.
