Berwick Ponds is a well-established syndicate water located on a 12-acre site, with approximately 7 acres of fishable water. The remaining area is covered by Norfolk reeds, marsh, and sedge, providing a natural and scenic environment.
Significant improvements have been made to the swims, paths, and car parks in recent years, ensuring they meet the expected standards. Anglers can enjoy comfortable facilities, including an electric shower, flush toilets, electric power points, and access to fresh drinking water.
One of the notable enhancements to the lake was the de-silting process carried out five years ago. This extensive project spanned three months and involved the removal of around 12,000 cubic meters of silt. The de-silting greatly improved the fishing conditions, resulting in a healthier fish population.
Berwick Ponds boasts a thriving stock of fish, including carp weighing up to 34lb and wels catfish reaching up to 60lb. To maintain and enhance the fishery, an ongoing stocking program is in place, with fish being sourced from their own stock ponds.
Overall, Berwick Ponds offers a well-maintained and picturesque fishing venue, with a variety of fish species and modern amenities to enhance the angling experience for syndicate members.
