Moat Lake

Becmain Angling Society manages a variety of fishing venues, including one day ticket water called Pea Lane Fishery, located near Upminster. This picturesque lake offers a serene and tranquil environment, perfect for anglers seeking peace and quiet. It’s important to note that young anglers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The society takes great pride in maintaining the lake’s pristine condition, so it is essential for visitors to ensure they leave no litter behind. The bailiff is particularly vigilant about this and strongly dislikes any instances of littering.

In 1998, Becmain Angling Society assumed control over the fishing rights of Garnish Hall in Abridge. This particular water is exclusively available to members of the society. It is a small lake characterized by the presence of an island in the middle. Anglers can expect to encounter carp reaching double figures, along with abundant populations of roach and rudd. Nestled behind a farmhouse, this well-maintained lake offers a pleasant angling experience and is carefully monitored to maintain its cleanliness and litter-free environment.
