Harefield No2

Harfield No. 2 is a mature 50-acre gravel pit located in South Harefield. It is surrounded by good cover and is adjacent to the Grand Union Canal. Anglers who are members of the fishing society can access multiple swims either by car or by walking up to 500 meters from their parked vehicles. The water has three designated car parks for convenience.

In August 2017, the lake experienced a complete oxygen crash. As a result, the fishing society initiated a re-stocking program to restore the fish population. The first phase of the program was completed in February 2018, during which 165 carp ranging from 4lb to 22lb were introduced. These carp were sourced from both VS Fisheries and Lower Berryfield Fisheries, with careful selection based on appearance and expected growth rates.

In December 2019, Pit 2 underwent further stocking. This included the introduction of 1500 tench, 800 bream, 500 roach, and 500 rudd to enhance the fish diversity in the lake.
