Blickling offers a fantastic fishing experience in its lake, attracting visitors of all ages and skill levels. The lake is well-stocked with bream, pike, and carp, providing ample opportunities for anglers to enjoy their fishing trips. To ensure a successful and enjoyable experience, here are some helpful tips to keep in mind:

1. Fishing Hours: The lake is open for fishing until dusk or 9.30pm, whichever comes earlier. Please make sure to adhere to these hours and plan your fishing accordingly.

2. Fishing Locations: You have the option to fish from the dam or the designated fishing platforms. These platforms are situated on the east bank of the lake, with one located on the west bank near the dam end. Feel free to choose a spot that suits your preference.

3. Night Fishing: For safety reasons, night fishing is not permitted at Blickling. It is important to respect this rule and ensure that you leave the lake before dusk.

4. Bait and Equipment: Boilies and live bait are not allowed at the lake, and pre-baiting or ground baiting is also prohibited. Additionally, please refrain from using keep nets or sacks to hold fish. It is recommended to use a landing net and an unhooking mat when handling fish.

5. Hooks and Rigs: Only use barbless hooks during your fishing session at Blickling. It is also advised to avoid using bolt rigs.

6. Rod Limit and License: You are permitted to use up to two rods while fishing at the lake. However, it is essential to have a valid Environment Agency rod license, as it is a legal requirement for fishing in England.
