We of fishing including good size Roach and Rudd , Tench, Bream and Carp. We are not a specimen hunters venue and do not cater for the carp anglers only impressed by size.
Mirror Lake
This is the largest of the three lakes at a touch over two acres. The depth varies between three and seven foot in depth. It is a natural looking lake with trees and vegetation around the lake creating many interesting features.
The lake has a good variety of carp at reasonable sizes including Grass Carp, Common, Mirror, Koi and Crucian. It is also a great lake for Tench, Roach, Rudd, Perch and we have even had a Ruff caught in there recently The day before the lock down we put 350 crucian and 400 small common and mirror carp in the lake.
There are two main islands and a small cluster of tiny islands which also provide features to target. As with any lake it is difficult to say what particular baits work well all of the time but as a general rule it is good to come equipped with the basics such as pellet, luncheon meat, sweet corn and bread. Boilies do work but the wide variety available make it difficult to advise on which ones.
Foxes Lake
Foxes is smaller than Mirror Lake but is deeper. The sides of the lake are quite steep and this offers some good margin fishing, this includes an island.
The lake is stocked with carp including Common, Mirror, Koi and Crucian. Our best Tench was caught in Foxes. There also Roach, Rudd, Perch and a good head of Bream.
Shadows Lake
The smallest of the lakes on offer but still a good lake for silver fish, tench and carp . It has been the least used of the lakes to date due to the very annoying Lilly pads that have been an issue.
The stock includes a good head of small to mid size carp and possibly a few larger but this lake is still a bit of a mystery. Other species include Tench, Roach, Rudd, Perch and a few Bream.
