Nestling at the heart of the Waveney Valley, on the border between Suffolk and Norfolk, lies Waveney Valley Lakes. An unspoilt haven of wildlife framed by idyllic villages and unique market towns. Escaping from the frantic pace of everyday life, Waveney Valley Lakes is the perfect holiday home destination, and it’s just waiting for you to discover it.

With tranquil surroundings and warm hospitality, you can’t help but fall in love with the Park’s timeless beauty and gentle stillness. Blessed with acres of natural habitat the Park is celebrated for its prolific diversity of flora and fauna. With nearly 25 acres of well stocked fishing lakes, 8 acres of Willow plantation and groves of mature woodland, Waveney Valley Lakes is home to barn owls, kingfishers and herons as well as a wide variety of warblers and a great assortment of dragonfly and demoiselle. The park is ideally suited to retired or semi-retired couples seeking a tranquil retreat, or mature families seeking a rural escape. Dogs are well catered for too, with easy walks through the park’s meadows and woods or longer walks, accessible directly from the park, amongst the surrounding landscape.

The Lakes
Of the twelve Lakes on the Park nine are exclusively for use of the Holiday Home owners, with each swim designated for the sole use of the corresponding Lodge or Caravan owner. Two of the Lakes, Heartsmere and Kingfisher Pool, are Day Ticket Lakes; and Marsh Lake has a mix of Day Ticket swims and designated owners swims.

Ash Tree Lake
A tree lined lake with seven Holiday Homes. Ash Tree Lake has depths up to 12ft, has a good mix of quality fish, including Tench, Bream and Crucian Carp, and a large head of Carp between 6lb and 18lb.

Blackthorn Lake
A two acre lake with twenty two Holiday Homes. A good mixed fishery lake with a known Crucian Carp of near 5lb and a large head of Carp to over 20lb.

Cherry Tree Lake
Although a mixed fishery this three acre lake, with thirteen Lodges on its west bank, holds the biggest head of 25lb plus Carp on the park, twelve of which are known to be between 30lb to 38lb.

Dragonfly Lake
With six Lodges on the west shore, this two acre lake is undoubtedly the most famous on the park. A large head of 20lb Carp up to 31lb are supplemented by a good number of sizable Tench, Crucian Carp and Mirror Carp which are being caught at an average weight of 18lb.

Elm Tree Lake
Having two channels through from Dragonfly Lake, this two acre lake benefits from its sharing of the above stock. There are seven Holiday Homes on this Lake, two with large plots which are set back from the lake front.

Foxglove Lake
A mixed fishery with Carp up to 24lb. The eight lakeside caravan plots each has lilly surrounded swims, it’s a the classic early morning Tench bubbling Mr Crabtree lake.

Guelder Lake
This three acre lake has six caravan plots on the north shore and two designated swims from the small promontory on the east bank. All species can be caught here, however it’s probably best known for its good head of Carp up to 32lb, quite a few of which are wily old, scaly Mirrors.

Willow Lake
A small shallow float fishing pool which is well stocked with a range of species, including Gudgeon, and a small head of Carp up to 10lb. Willow Lake provides a beautiful backdrop for the ten Holiday Homes which surround it.

Yew Tree Lake
With Catfish over 60lb and a good head of Carp to over 30lb, and with mature planted islands and beds of purple water lilies, Yew Tree Lake offers great fishing and a beautiful setting for the mix of fourteen Lodges and Caravans nestled on its banks.

Day Tickets Available

Heartsmere
Solely a Day Ticket lake the two acre Heartsmere has five swims around its banks. With around sixty to eighty carp, many over 25lb and up to 30lb, this is possibly the most difficult lake on the complex. Swims can be pre-booked for 24 hours or longer with a card payment

Kingfisher Pool
The second solely Day Ticket lake this small pool is heavily stocked with a mix of fish for float and feeder fishing only. Two swims are available for days only 8am – 8pm. Stunning Crucian Carp can be caught fishing the margins with sweetcorn.

Marsh Lake
With designated swims for the three Holiday Homes, and three Day Ticket swims this horseshoe shaped lake is one of the two lakes on the park with Catfish. Here the Catfish range up to 65lb and a good head of Carp range up to 32lb, the Roach fishing in Marsh lake is also particularly excellent.

Day ticket fishing is available on Heartsmere, Marsh Lake and Kingfisher Pool.
