Grundys Lake

Grundies Lake, located in Rothwell, is a 4.5-acre fishing lake that offers 80 swims for anglers. The lake is open for fishing throughout the year, and anglers can enjoy fishing from dawn until dusk. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish species, including Barbel up to 4lbs, Bream, Carp up to 26lbs, Chub, Crucian Carp, Golden Orfe, Gudgeon, Perch, Roach up to 2lbs, Rudd, and Tench.

To access Grundies Lake, anglers can purchase a season ticket for £100, while OAPs and juniors can obtain a discounted ticket for £75. The lake has facilities to accommodate disabled anglers, with three swims specifically designated for their use. Additionally, there are car parking facilities and toilets available on-site for convenience.

To ensure the preservation of the lake and the well-being of the fish, there are certain rules in place. Anglers are required to use barbless hooks only and are prohibited from using boilies and groundbait. Keepnets are not allowed, and anglers are expected to keep the area clean and free from litter.
