River Nene

While the fishing in the River Nene is not easy, the average size of the Carp is exceptionally high, making it worth the effort for anglers looking to catch one of the prized Carp known as “Jigsaw’s Jewels.” Both Common Carp and Mirror Carp in the lake exceed 40lb in weight. The fish stocked in 2009 have now grown to over 35lb, and there may still be a few surprises waiting to be caught, which is increasingly rare in today’s fishing.
