Nordley Ponds

Nordley Pool, consisting of six interconnected pools, offers anglers easy access to wooden platforms and a fantastic opportunity for mixed fishing, including the chance to catch large carp. Operated by the esteemed Birmingham Anglers Association, these ponds were originally created as trout fisheries but have now matured with abundant vegetation, set amidst the serene backdrop of farmland.

Anglers can target carp weighing up to 25 pounds, bream up to 6 pounds, crucian carp up to 1 pound 8 ounces, as well as roach, perch, and rudd reaching weights of 8 ounces. Pools No. 1 and No. 2 hold the largest carp, providing the opportunity for anglers to target impressive specimens. Pools No. 3 and No. 4 are known for having carp in double-figure weights rather than reaching the 20-pound mark. Pools No. 5 and No. 6 have good stocks of carp up to 5 pounds, while also occasionally surprising anglers with unexpected catches.
