Whitchurch Lake

Whitchurch Lake, located at Alderford, originated as a result of the construction of the Whitchurch bypass road. The road required a source of sand and gravels, and the Bebbington family owned a suitable piece of land for this purpose. As a result, the excavation for the road provided the foundation for the creation of the beautiful lake and its accompanying features that exist at Alderford today.
