Witham Friary, located in the picturesque Somerset countryside between the towns of Frome and Bruton, is a delightful fishing destination. This venue features two lakes spanning approximately 3 acres, providing excellent access and ample parking facilities for anglers.

The fishing prospects at Witham Friary are promising, as the site has secured a fifteen-year lease and has high expectations for the future. In the previous season, the lakes exceeded expectations, yielding catches of roach, perch, and carp.

To enhance the fishing experience, stocking efforts have been made. In September 2017, the bottom lake was stocked with 2700 tench and true crucians. Additionally, in December, the large lake received a mixed bag of 1700+ rudd, roach, bream, and carp.

With its serene surroundings and promising fishing potential, Witham Friary is an attractive destination for anglers seeking an enjoyable and rewarding fishing experience in the Somerset countryside.
