Wych Lodge Lake

Wych Lodge Lake, located near Staple Fitzpaine in Taunton, TA3 5BN, offers an exciting fishing experience for anglers. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Taunton Angling Association, the Heritage Lottery, and the Environment Agency, the lake has undergone significant restoration and improvements. The de-silting process and vegetation removal from the lake bed have expanded the available fishing area, providing anglers with more opportunities to explore.

For enhanced accessibility, two purpose-built platforms with full wheelchair access have been installed on the south side of the lake. A pathway encircles the lake, leading to six additional fishing platforms on the north side. On the south side, four more fishing platforms are available, ensuring a comfortable fishing experience for up to eleven anglers.

To enhance the fishing experience, the lake has been fully restocked with a variety of fish species, including roach, bream, perch, and carp. With its improved infrastructure and diverse fish population, Wych Lodge Lake promises an enjoyable angling experience for all.
