Flood Park

Flood Park is a picturesque lake that offers a variety of fish species, making it a great spot for match anglers. The lake is home to Rudd, Roach, Perch, Bronze Bream, Gudgeon, Crucians, Tench, and Carp.

While the lake does have a healthy population of carp, with some individuals reaching weights of 30+ pounds, they can be challenging to catch. The lake is not known for being a “runs water,” meaning that carp are not easily caught in large numbers.

During calm summer days, it is not uncommon to spot the carp cruising around the island or in the shallow margins where the water barely covers them. This behavior adds to the excitement and challenge of targeting these elusive carp.
