Fishery Information

Stub Pond Fishery in Surrey has five fishing lakes for coarse fishing.

Chart Lake was built in 1995 as a nursery pond and is stocked with small carp, tench, roach, and rudd. It is easy to catch fish here and good for beginners.

Forge Lake was built in 1986 and has a variety of fish including carp, tench, bream, and crucians. It was made smaller and deeper in 1996 with bigger fish added. There are sturgeon and catfish that are known for being hard fighters.

Mill Lake is a new lake with 54 pegs and a central island. It has a mix of fish including crucians, bream, tench, rudd, perch, and orfe.

Plantation Lake is the main match venue with 70 pegs and a central island. It hosts regular matches and has a variety of fish including carp, chub, and perch.

Stubpond Lake is almost two acres in size with 34 pegs. It has carp, ghostie’s, bream, tench, rudd, roach, perch, and chub. It is popular for club bookings and pleasure fishing.

At Stubpond Lakes, you cannot use fixed feeders, lead, or loop. Landing nets and keep nets are provided by the fishery.
