Established in 1888, the Plough Angling Society proudly holds the distinction of being the oldest known angling club in the Coventry and Warwickshire region. Based in Coventry and Rugby, our club boasts a picturesque and diverse home water—the Warwickshire River Avon.

Stretching between the charming villages of Ryton on Dunsmore and Wolston on the outskirts of Coventry, our 75 pegs along the Warwickshire River Avon offer a captivating angling experience. This scenic stretch of the river is known for its variable and feature-rich landscape, providing anglers with ample opportunities to test their skills and pursue their passion.

As a member of the Plough Angling Society, you’ll have exclusive access to this treasured waterway, where the art of angling meets the natural beauty of the Warwickshire River Avon. Whether you’re seeking tranquility or the thrill of landing a prized catch, our angling club welcomes you to join us in this historic and captivating fishing destination.
