This three acre, shallow fishery (pictured below) is situated at the end of Springfield Road in Kilnhurst where, once again, access is through a locked gate into a car park and then to the water and is open to anglers only. Currently there are 35 purpose built recycled plastic platforms some within yards of the car park making for easy fishing. Whip, pole and waggler are the methods for rudd, roach, bream, and the popular tench and crucian carp. An ideal place to teach youngsters who need only use a short whip to get bites.
Baker’s pond has just undergone another face lift, including extending the pegs and paths, many of which are now suitable for disabled access, providing a toilet and landscaping.
