Newhay Lakes is an intimate, three lake Carp, Coarse and Match fishing complex located in Cliffe, North Yorkshire. This members only, family run venue, has had significant investment and is maintained to a very high standard; creating an unrivalled carp and coarse fishing experience.

Our venue boasts some of the region’s most stunning specimen fish, with our mature, well stocked 1.5-acre specimen lake home to carp to 30lb+. With eight spacious pegs – all with easy access and only a short walk from our private car park – the Newhay specimen lake attracts serious carp anglers from right across the region.  Read more about our specimen lake here

Our 3-acre coarse lake holds carp to 25lb, with a significant stock of double figure fish. With the correct bait and method, our coarse lake offers an exhilarating “runs water” experience. So much so, that many carp anglers fish the coarse lake as well as the specimen lake. The coarse lake holds 14 species of fish, including: Mirror Carp, Common Carp, Grass Carp, Ghost Carp, Crucian Carp, Chub, Barbel, Tench, Perch, Rudd, Roach and Bream. Newhay Lakes welcomes new members regularly and offers something for anglers of all interests and ages. Our venue is inclusive, with a strong sense of community and a shared passion for angling enjoyed amongst our members. Our low-cost membership policy serves only to ensure that the environment which we have created is maintained. Management adopt a zero-tolerance policy to anti-social behaviour, the mistreating of fish or wildlife, or abuse of the environment (littering etc).

Fishing at Newhay Lakes is exclusively available through bookings for members. Night fishing is permitted on both the specimen lake and coarse lake and we have access to a local takeaway service who will deliver to the bankside.
