Alex Shorrock heads to Etang Rapide in the depths of autumn with one ambitious challenge – to catch a 20, 30, 40 and 50lb carp.
But this is more than just a big carp adventure. Along the way Alex reveals his autumn tactics for catching carp, including how he approaches the venue as the water cools, where to look for fish, how to use bait and, crucially, his approach to PVA solid bag fishing.
Alex takes you through his PVA solid bag setup and rig, explaining which he loves a ronnie rig inside a solid bag. How to tie and present a PVA solid bag effectively, when to use this method and why it can be such a devastating tactic during the autumn months.
With the pressure mounting to complete the 20, 30, 40 & 50lb challenge, he adapts his approach as the session unfolds, putting his tactics to the ultimate test on this stunning French venue.
Whether you’re fishing a pressured UK lake or heading to France in search of bigger carp, this film is packed with practical autumn carp fishing tips, solid bag advice, rig information and proven tactics to help you put more fish on the bank.
Watch Alex Shorrock and Paul Richardson take on the 20, 30, 40 & 50lb challenge at Etang Rapide – and learn how to get more from your autumn carp fishing.
