Sometimes simplicity is best when developing a product and when we looked at designing a Butt Rest for rod and line fishing we knew exactly what we wanted to achieve.
In our angling we have always used the standard cup style butt rests but we grew frustrated with the rod sliding forward when your rod is positioned and angled downward. But we also felt the gripping style rests were too restrictive for natural fishing styles. So we set about designing the mushroom butt rest that combines that simple cup design with a flexible rubber internal that prevents your rod from sliding.
This is labelled as a butt rest but it is a multi use product that can be used in a variety of ways.
