Bishops Bowl Fishery is situated on a 90-acre former limestone quarry, nestled on the border of Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. The quarry, which is now a site of scientific interest, has been transformed into an attractive stone-faced bowl, creating a unique and picturesque setting for the fishery.
Since 2010, under the management of Shaun Smart, Bishops Bowl Fishery has undergone significant improvements and developments. New lakes have been created, and access to all swims has been enhanced to cater to both able-bodied and disabled visitors. The existing lakes have been refurbished, and new fish stocks have been introduced, attracting a wide range of anglers, including carp/specimen anglers, pleasure anglers, and match anglers.
The fishery has garnered praise and recognition, earning a 5-star review from Carp Critic and establishing itself as one of the top fisheries in the Midlands. Despite the changes and improvements, Shaun has taken great care to preserve the unique environment of the complex, ensuring the tranquility and protection of wildlife.
At Bishops Bowl Fishery, visitors can explore the different lakes on-site, each with its own ticket price, which can be found by clicking on the respective lake on the map. Additionally, there is a fully stocked tackle shop and cafe, providing anglers with the necessary equipment and refreshments.
