About Haywards Farm Lake
Haywards Farm Lake in Berkshire opened in 2000 and is now managed by the Sportfish team since 2016. They wanted to create one of the best trout fishing spots in the country.
The lake is 11 acres and has clear water that is fed by springs. There is lots of wildlife and insects around the lake. The area is well designed for easy access and casting. The lake has different features like bays, reeds, and different depths ranging from 3 to 15 feet.
You can fish at the lake all year round. In the summer, aerators are used to keep the water well oxygenated for the fish.
The lake is stocked regularly with strong, high-quality rainbow trout and brown trout. Some blue trout are also added. The fish are usually around 3 pounds, but there are some bigger ones between 5 and 9 pounds. The largest brown trout caught so far was 15 pounds and the biggest rainbow trout was 13 pounds and 15 ounces.
