About Redlands
Southlake Angling Society was established on April 21, 1969, in Woodley, Berkshire. The club has three different fishing spots for all types of anglers – those looking for big fish, those who enjoy competitions, and those who just want to relax.
The club started at Southlake, an 18-acre lake in Woodley. In 1976, they also began managing an 8-acre gravel pit in Hurst, which is now called Redlands after the club bought it in 1999.
In 2010, the club became a Limited Company to protect its members from any financial problems. This just means that if the club ever had to shut down because of legal issues, members would only have to pay £1 each.
Redlands is a popular spot for fishing and is home to Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch, and Pike. There are also fishing spots designed for anglers with disabilities.
