About Island Fish Farm
The Island Fish Farm is a fishing spot and trout farm on the Isle of Wight. It’s located between Shorwell and Brighstone, about a mile off the southwest coast.
There are four different fishing areas at the farm. The main lake, which is one acre, is for fly fishing for Rainbow Trout. You can catch and release, but the owners prefer if you take your catch. They offer a discount if you do and also provide a service to smoke or freeze your fish for later.
The second lake is 0.75 acres and is great for Carp fishing. In 2010, the biggest Carp caught weighed 26 lbs. There are also two smaller ponds with various types of fish, perfect for beginners or those who want more action.
