About Southfield

Southfield Cornwall Bude Canal Angling Association started in 1967. They let people fish in 1.5 miles of the Bude Canal. The canal has carp, bream, roach, rudd, tench, perch, and gudgeon fish. Sometimes you can also catch trout, dace, and eel.

The canal is easy to get to, with a nice path and parking lots at one end. There are special fishing spots for people in wheelchairs. The association has fishing competitions for members, like leagues and cup contests. You can see the schedule and results on their website.

Members can also fish at Hele Bridge Pond. There are limited spots available, so you need to apply. Non-members can’t buy day tickets on the spot, you need to buy them in advance at the Crescent Post Office.
