About Irthlingborough Main Lake
The Nene Valley has a big plan to make the Nene Wetlands reserve better. They want to connect seven wildlife sites in one area to help animals thrive. These sites include places like Ditchford, Wilson’s Pit, and Irthlingborough Lakes and Meadows. The Wildlife Trust is also taking care of three more sites in Rushden Lakes.
There is a new visitor center in Rushden Lakes managed by the Wildlife Trust BCN. It is the first one in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Northamptonshire. The center is a place where people can learn about the area’s nature and history. It’s also a great spot to see thousands of birds that visit the region every year.
