Chorlton Water Park in Greater Manchester was once Barlow Hall Farm.
In the 1970s, gravel was extracted to build the M60 motorway, leaving behind a hole that naturally filled with water to create the park’s lake, a prominent attraction today.

About Chorlton Water Park
Chorlton Water Park in Greater Manchester used to be a farm called Barlow Hall Farm. In the 1970s, they dug out gravel from the land to build the M60 motorway. After they finished, the hole left behind filled with water and became the lake that is now the main feature of the Water Park.
