Heatley Mere, also known as Heatley Flash, is a natural pond in Greater Manchester. It covers about 3 acres and is filled by rainwater and a small stream. There are about 20 fishing spots on the south bank. The depth of the pond ranges from 3-6 feet, with an average depth of 3-4 feet. The pond is home to various fish species including Carp, Tench, Bream, Perch, Chubb, Roach, and Crucion. The club is working on improving the water quality for everyone to enjoy. Another smaller pond nearby, called Little Mere, also has some good-sized fish. Other larger waters in the area have been drained and turned into housing estates.
