About Mid Kent Fisheries

Mid Kent Fisheries Kent is a popular fishing spot in the South East, featuring a 110-acre lake with a variety of fish including bream, tench, roach, and pike. The Carp in the lake can reach over 40lb, with the current record being 42lb. There are also plenty of ’20s and ’30s Carp that are growing quickly.

The lake has a Close Season from March 14th to June 16th, during which fishing is not allowed. Access to Westbere Lake requires keys for the gates as it is located on a working quarry.

You can fish at this venue with either a single ticket or a Gold Ticket, but spaces are limited and there may soon be a waiting list for the 2016 season. Prices can be found on the membership page.

During the Close Season, there are voluntary work parties organized by members. Those who attend these work parties can enter a draw for swims on the first night of the season. Work parties are held every Sunday from 8:30 am to 12 pm.

Please remember to keep the gates locked at all times, as this is private property and not open to the public. If you notice any suspicious activity, report it to a bailiff or Chris, the fishery manager.
