Stour Farm Fishery in Kent has a lake called Stour Lake, which is owned by Mid Kent Fisheries. The lake was made in the late 1960s and covers about 20 acres.
The lake is home to seven carp that weigh over 30 pounds each, as well as over 150 carp that weigh over 20 pounds. There are also some very large tench, with the biggest one weighing 13 pounds and 3 ounces. The carp in this lake grow really fast, so it’s likely that someone will catch a carp that weighs over 40 pounds soon.
Stour Lake has lots of different features, like gravel bars, islands, and reed-fringed edges. When you visit, make sure not to park in the Chartham Angling Club car park. Always lock the gate behind you and park on the left side where it’s marked. You’re not allowed to drive around the lake. You can bring guests who aren’t fishing, but your partner can’t come. You can bring your dog as long as it’s under control.
