About Millhayes Pond
Millhayes Fishery is a lovely place in Devon where you can go fishing. It has been around for more than 20 years and is located in the village of Kentisbeare. The fishery has two lakes, one big and one small, surrounded by beautiful countryside.
The big lake is 2 acres in size and has Carp up to 30lbs, Tench up to 8lbs, and Roach and Rudd up to 2lbs. The smaller lake is 0.25 acres and has Crucian Carp and Bream. Both lakes are fed with spring water from the Blackdown Hills, which keeps the fish healthy.
Most people prefer to fish in the big lake. The best way to catch fish there is using pellet on the pole or maggots. Don’t forget to fish near the edges of the lake, as larger fish often hide there. You can catch a lot of fish in this lake, sometimes up to 100lbs in one go. In the summer evenings, try using floating baits as the carp love them.
Millhayes Fishery is accessible for people with disabilities, with parking spots near the water’s edge.
