About One Island Pond
The One Island Pond Devon Newton Abbot Fishing Association has access to over twelve fishing spots in the Newton Abbot area, offering some of the best coarse fishing in Devon. The Rackerhayes Complex includes six different waters. Island Pond is a 5-acre lake open to all ticket holders, stocked with a variety of fish such as tench, roach, rudd, pike, bream, and eels. First Pond is a 2-acre lake with carp, tench, roach, bream, and pike. Wheel Pond is open to everyone, but juniors have priority.
Linhay Pond, approximately 3 acres in size, is open to all and well stocked with fish like bream and tench. Boilies are not allowed at this pond. Dores Pond is the largest water in Newton Abbot, about 9 acres in size. Floating platforms are available for members over 18, and the pond is stocked with bream, silver fish, perch, and a large number of carp. Weedy Pond, around 1 acre in size, is stocked with various coarse fish.
