The River Colne in Hertfordshire runs through Buckinghamshire Golf Club for about 1½ miles. There are over 70 fishing spots along this stretch with varying depths, widths, and speeds of the water. The upper part of the river has lots of Roach and Dace fish, and the Widows cruise area is good for shelter when the water level is high. The middle section, from the white bridge to the swing bridge, is best for lone anglers and has big eels. The lower part of the river has two sections. The upper section, from the backwater to the Frays weir, is wider and deeper with Roach and Chub fish. The lower section, below the weir (the gravels), has Bream, Chub, and sometimes Barbel fish. Remember not to drive your car past the car park.
