About Pixies Mere
Pixies Mere is a 4-acre lake in Hertfordshire with 44 spots for fishing. The lake has different types of pegs, some are cut out from the bank and some have landing stages. Most of the lake is about 3 to 4 feet deep, but there is a deep hole near pegs 26 and 27. The lake has open areas, narrow channels, islands, lily pads, and willow trees. There are specially designed fishing stations for disabled anglers, with parking close to the pegs and ramps for wheelchairs. There is a map of the lake in the main car park and a toilet available for visitors. The “Three Horseshoes” pub, which is over 500 years old, is nearby. Pixies Mere is owned by The Box Moor Trust and managed by Gary Jacques.
