The key to successful fishing here is to have a variety of baits such as fishmeal pellets, sweetcorn, and luncheon meat. The lake has many features and depths which make it ideal for fishing.
The lake is open from 1st March to 31st October, with entry allowed from 7.00am until Dusk. The carpark must be vacated by 8.00pm. Pleasure Angling is available 7 days a week and no matches take place.
There is a small cafe on site which serves hot food on most days. The menu includes fresh farm-produced bacon, sausage, and egg served on barmcakes. Hot and cold drinks are available throughout the day, along with snacks like chocolate and crisps. It’s best to call ahead to make sure the chef will be on site when you visit.
