Scot Lane New Pond is a small and pretty fishing spot in Lancashire. It has two ponds with islands in the middle, connected by a canal. Locals call it the ‘Figure of Eight’ because of its shape. You can find it near the JJB Stadium on Stadium Way. There is a car park on the right and the water is on the left.
You can buy day tickets at the pond. It costs £3 for adults, £2 for seniors, and 50p for kids. The fishing club has a new lease with Wigan Council, and they are improving the pond. They have replaced old wooden fishing pegs with 20 new concrete ones in the back pond. They have also renewed 18 pegs on the front pond and canal, making a total of 38 refurbished pegs.
