About Foxcotte Lakes
Foxcotte Lakes in Hampshire is controlled by the Andover Angling Club. The club manages two lakes – Foxcotte in Charlton and Anton Lake in the Nature reserve.
Foxcotte Lake is 2½ acres in size with 45 fishing spots. It has been under the control of the AAC since the 1950s. The lake is home to mirror and common carp, crusians, pike, perch, roach, and eels. There used to be bream and tench, but their numbers decreased due to a toxic algae bloom in 2005.
There are wooden platforms at many fishing spots, making it easy for disabled anglers to access. There is also a car park for 20 cars and a cafe with toilet facilities that is open year-round. The club offers exchange tickets for members to use at other lakes. Members can only keep the ticket for 48 hours and are allowed one ticket at a time. Exchange tickets can be obtained from the Secretary or Membership.
