Willowcroft Fisheries & Holiday Parks in Cambridgeshire offer memberships for fishing on six islands. The membership runs from May 13th to May 12th the following year and costs £60.
To get a membership for the six islands, you first have to fish at Cafe Lake or Horseshoe Lake for 24 hours. Your tackle will be checked, and you will be questioned about the rules. If everything is in order, then you can join.
Fishing on the six islands costs £30 for 2 rods and £35 for 3 rods per 24 hours.
Day tickets are available for Seadyke Lake and Grandad’s Lake at £8 per rod. Cafe Lake day fishing costs £12 for 1 rod, £20 for 2 rods, and £25 for 3 rods. For 24 hours, it costs £25 for 2 rods and £30 for 3 rods. Horseshoe Lake day fishing costs £10 for 1 rod, £15 for 2 rods, and £20 for 3 rods. For 24 hours, it costs £20 for 2 rods and £25 for 3 rods.
It is important to note that all fishermen on Cafe or Horseshoe Lake must have their own 42″ net and at least a 110×75 unhooking mat. Only carp size 10-4 hooks are allowed, no sharing tackle, and no landing each other’s fish.
Willowcroft Fishery at Pentney Lakes offers eight lakes stocked with carp, bream, roach, rud, perch, and more. The lakes are well managed and open year-round. A separate area is dedicated to fishing to allow anglers to focus on their sport.
Various lakes like The Cabin Lake, Under 16 Lake, Millenium 2000 Lake, Ski Lake, Catfish Lake, Ghost Lake, Bird Lake, and Specimen Lake offer different fishing experiences with different fish species.
The Cabin Lake has carp, bream, tench, catfish, and pike. The Under 16 Lake is perfect for younger anglers. The Millenium 2000 Lake has perch, pike, roach, bream, and carp. The Ski Lake is great for night fishing for carp, tench, and bream. The Catfish Lake has rare Albino grass carp and jack pike. The Ghost Lake has carp, roach, perch, bream, and pike. The Bird Lake is a challenging water with carp over 40lb, bream, and pike. The Specimen Lake has carp, bream, tench, roach, rudd, and pike.
Rules include using barbless hooks only, a 5 mph speed limit, and no live or dead baits brought onto the fishery. Leadcore is banned, and floating baits are not allowed.
