About Burwell Lakes
Burwell Brick Pit Fishery in Cambridgeshire is a 38 acre fishing spot that used to be a clay quarry. It closed in 1971, but now it’s a great place to catch fish like Carp, Rudd, Perch, and Pike. Steve Calder and his partners have been working hard to make the area better for fishing. They’ve created 40 nice spots to fish from, surrounded by reed beds, islands, and deep parts of the water. The gates are closed from 7pm to 7am to keep the area safe.
Tickets for the rest of the fishing season cost £100, but there are also 12- and 24-hour tickets available for £10 and £20. You can use up to three fishing rods and certain baits like particles (except peanuts). You can also use bait boats if you’re careful and respectful. They might have some to rent for £15 a day. You can use barbed or barbless hooks. Just follow the rules and have fun fishing!
