About Windthorpe Pits
Windthorpe Pit is a 15-acre lake in Nottinghamshire. It’s not very deep, about 7/8ft on average, with a bottom that’s mostly flat with some silt and gravel. There isn’t much weed in the lake. The edges of the lake slope gently down to the water. The water level can change because of the nearby River Trent.
You can find Carp, Bream, Roach, Perch, Pike, and sometimes Zander in the lake. There’s also a 650-meter part of the River Trent where you can fish for Barbel, Chub, Bream, Carp, and Pike.
There are spots along the edge of the lake where you can fish from. The gate by the lake lets you easily get to the river area, and there’s parking near each fishing spot.
Don’t cut down any trees or plants around the lake. Only the people in charge can make changes to the vegetation.
