About Rookery Pool

Rookery Pool in Cheshire is a great spot for fishing, especially for catching Tench. There are only 6 pegs available, so members should be mindful of sharing the space. The pegs are located along the Red Line on the map, which can be found in the Map Book or on the Notice Board in the Car Park. Junior members must be accompanied by a senior member when fishing here.

Access to the pool is from the Car Park, across from Monkey Lodge on Whitegate Road. Follow the public footpath on the left side of Vale Royal Golf Course to reach the pool. Do not try to access it from the Golf Club side. Members who trespass on the Golf Course will be banned. It’s important to keep the area clean and avoid starting fires.

Night fishing is not allowed at Rookery Pool, and there is no fishing during the close season from March 15th to June 15th. Keepnets are also not allowed during this time. Be mindful of litter and insect repellent may be useful.
