Thames Young Mariners is a lake in Ham, Richmond, connected to the Thames. It is primarily used for outdoor activities and only allows fishing on certain days, which are communicated through their website. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish including Carp, Flounders, Mullet, Trout, Zander, Grass Carp, Pike, Perch, Bream, and more. It is a members-only venue with strict access rules.
Shadwell’s Pool, located in Barnes, is a peaceful lake surrounded by trees and woodland. It is a mixed fishery with Carp, Roach, Tench, Bream, and Perch. Fishing is allowed from 1st April to 31st March, with a close season from 1st December to the end of February. This venue is for members only, with day tickets available for guests.
Potomac Lake was acquired by BMAPS in 2019 and is heavily stocked with Carp, mostly Commons averaging 12-14lb. The lake also holds Pike and has rumors of 30lb plus Carp and 20lb plus Pike. Night fishing permits are available on a limited basis. Access to the lake is through a gate with a lock, and parking is available in the park’s car park or on Lional Road.
