About River Liddle
The River Liddle in Cumbria offers great fishing opportunities with 460 meters of double bank and 950 meters of single bank on the lower part of the River Lyne, a tributary of the River Esk. This area has not been fished for a while, making it a good spot to catch Chub and Grayling. There is plenty of parking nearby and the area is easy to access.
Westlington is about 3 miles north of Junction 44 on the M6 motorway at Carlisle. To get there, take the A7 Carlisle to Longtown Road. Once in Westlington, drive through the village and over the road bridge. There is a lay-by on the right where you can park, across from the access point.
Big Waters members now have access to coarse fishing on the River Lyne near Westlington Bridge, thanks to the Tyne Anglers Syndicate. All members can fish here outside of the game seasons. During the game season, only 3 members can fish at a time. If you want to fish during the game season, you need to call the secretary to book a spot.
