About Crummock Water
Crummock Water is the biggest lake in a group of three lakes that make up the River Cocker’s water source. It is about two and a half miles long and half a mile wide.
If you want to fish at Crummock Water, it is best to do so from a boat using a technique called lochstyle. You can rent a boat, but they only come with oars, so you will have to row a lot. You can also bring your own boat, but there are no facilities for launching it.
For fly fishing, there are plenty of spots along the shore to fish from. Just avoid the southern end where the water from Buttermere flows in, as it can be very swampy.
