Rydal Water in Cumbria, near Grasmere, is a great place for fishing. It has lots of roach, perch, and big pike. Some pike weigh over thirty pounds, and many are over twenty pounds. You can catch lots of doubles here too.
You can fish here all year round, but summer fishing with lures from a boat is best. In the winter, using dead bait can also work well.

The main issue with fishing at Grasmere is the lack of parking. There are only two laybys that can fit three cars each. If they’re full, you’ll have to park in Grasmere village or at the White Moss car park near Rydal Water. Both options are expensive and require a long walk with your fishing gear.
